TOUR PROFILE

60% paved roads 40% gravel, dirt, mud, river crossings, rocky sections, mixed with very good highways, small sealed back roads with potholes and everything in between. Many curves, Andean Mountain passes and extreme scenic routes. For riders with expert off-road and touring experience and good curving skills. We stay in basic to mid-range hotels. We always opt for the best option available – clean, safe and practical location.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Fly-in to Cali. Motolombia staff will pick you up in airport and bring you to the hotel. Depending on what time in the day you arrive, we will meet to sort out paperwork and prep the bikes. A tour briefing will be arranged once the last rider has arrived.

DAY 2: Cali to Melgar

DAY 3: Melgar to Vista Hermosa

DAY 4: Vista Hermosa to La Macarena

DAY 5: Rest-day Caño Cristales

DAY 6: La Macarena to Florencia

OBS: Itinerary may change without further notice due to weather-, road- or any other condition that Motolombia or its guides feel will jeopardize the safety of the group or material.

WEATHER

Temperatures can vary between 12 to 40°C (53.6 F to 104°F). Temperatures can drop for a short period going over the mountains passes. It is recommended to ride with ventilated riding gear. A pull over rain suite is a good idea to carry against mountain temperatures and possible short rain showers that can occur year round.

Our guided tour was fantastic!! We really didn’t know what to expect but we quickly realized that this would be a “trip of a lifetime”…., Everything went smoothly,… the bikes ran great, the riders were all experienced and we all got along great. The route taken was certainly memorable with lots of beautiful scenery and fantastic mountain roads. The Colombian people were very friendly and always ready to help. I highly recommend Motolombia Tours and we will definitely be back next year.

Motolombia / Mike is a very competent Moto tour operator. In addition Mike is an excellent human being with the right skills and attitude to make your tour a delight. I will be back for the southern cultural ride. IMPORTANT: not once did I feel unsafe. In fact, Colombians are happy, helpful and engaging even though my Spanglish is marginal. Great memories!
